MOUNTAINS IN KANSAS ?????? NASTY CLOUDS
Here in Kansas we have no mountains, but we do have some strange weather.
This photo was taken during our spring rash of tornadic activity.
The temp and winds were causing these clouds to have the appearance of mountains boiling up out of the ground.
The good news was that this storm only produced some moderate winds and very little rain. no hail, heavy rain or tornados.
This picture was taken in early June, 2003 in Wichita, Kansas at the corner of Maple & Tyler.
